Matches are more realistic than ever in FIFA 19
Matches are the same as before, but at a lower pace, which makes them play more like real matches, not an artificial one. Players have received new moves and schemes that streamline action and make it more fun.
The big change in gameplay comes by bringing the Active Touch system that adds more flexibility to the way the players interact with the ball. Thus, they can make certain schemes and dribbling seem natural or the way they hit the ball in the air to be more realistic.
Visually, the game still looks very good. Virtual players resemble those in reality. But more than those who were made after the 360 scans. Another element that should be the ten note is how people are animated and how objects move. Here we are dealing with quality animations, the way players run and fall is a natural one, and the impact between the players feels as if they were real.
Sure, you still have the occasional animation and graphics bugs, but there is nothing exaggerated.
I was impressed that those from EA managed to print another air of female football. Players have other animations and other ways in which they run and hit the ball and I really enjoyed playing matches of the US women’s national football team.
Another new gameplay element introduced with FIFA 19 is the so-called “timed shooting,” meaning you can still press the shot button once more so your player sends a torpedo to the hilt. The system is interesting and can add an extra risk because if you press too soon or too late then your stroke can be missed.
I have not managed to score any eurogol, especially because of the abundance of information I need to be careful during a match.
FIFA 19 ends the story of Alex Hunter
FIFA 17 was the first game after a long time to catch my attention, and this was due to the Journey gameplay that promised to tell Alex Hunter’s story and strides on his way to becoming a professional player. It was not a very original story, but it was a fresh breath of this narrative in a football game like FIFA.
FIFA 18 continued the story, and this final title ended. If in the first two games you could only play with Alex, you can now control two more characters in the story: Danny Williams, Hunter’s boyfriend, and Kim Hunter, his stepfather.
In FIFA 19 we see Alex Hunter playing in Real Madrid and how he faces the pressures faced by the star players, Danny Williams struggles to be a Premier League team (I’ve chosen Arsenal), and Kim Hunter is team-mate US women’s national football.
Everyone has his problems and challenges, and the story is good enough to keep you interested, and the dynamics of the three characters (Alex Hunter, Danny Williams and Kim Hunter) make things dull.
The game warns you from the beginning that your choices will be extremely important. Well, not too. Aside from the end, I have not encountered a moment in which to regret a certain decision or to be glad to have made the choice.
At gameplay, changes have also been made to Journey. In Real Madrid you can control Hunter, your entire team, or you can only control a group of players for character influence. At Arsenal (in my case) you can only play with Williams or with the whole team, and in the USA you can play with Kim Hunter, with the entire team or just with Hunter and her attack partner, Alex Morgan.
Because the three-person mode now makes the Journey longer and more satisfying, but at the same time, the training will become more boring, especially since many are repeated, given that all three are attackers.
I know nobody wants to be a goalkeeper or a defender, but the game could even make you choose: I wanted to play a midfield or extreme.
At the same time, I was disturbed by the fact that the game pushes you from the back in a certain direction in an artificial way. I needed a victory with Real Madrid and the score was 0-0 in the 90th minute when I was changed and two minutes of extension were announced (I chose to control Alex Hunter only) to find out in the end that my team won with 4-2. And that did not happen only once, but about three times along the story.
Same football game, but more fun in FIFA 19
However, Fifa Ultimate Team remains the gameplay that will consume you the most time. For those who do not know this is a way to build a team as you want. He is different from the Career mode, because here you can what players you want (if you are lucky enough), without taking into account teams and leagues.
You get a weak team then meet certain goals you manage to grow and bring the important players. In order to get Neymar into a team then you have to have the chance to squirt the player because you do not buy a certain player and a pack of cards where it can be found. You can buy such virtual money money or real money money.
That’s why Electronic Arts is developing this way. It brings hundreds of millions of extra dollars every year.
The new Kick-Off modes promise to make boys evenings even more fun. If you have a laugh, then you can start a match where the rules do not apply or you can try the way you lose a player when you score.
The fact is that EA has bet on FIFA’s fun element and how it can be played with friends. Basically, when someone comes to you and you want to get a FIFA match now you have more choices and you will not get bored as fast as you did before.
FIFA 19 is not a radically different game than the previous one, but it brings improvements wherever it takes to convince you to buy it.
